Dark forces
Will turn daylight into night
The dust of falling bombs is reaching us from behind
Melting eyes which make sight unclear
Punishment to sow fear
When the dust settled
and the devastation became clear
It is obvious mankind will disappear
Mankind will disappear
Disappear
Man will be enslaved
Man will be
We will be enslaved
Enslaved
As the aeons weigh on
As the aeons weigh on
On my shoulders
On my shoulders
As the aeon weigh on my shoulders
and the tar pits boil
And the tar pits
And the tar pits boil at my feet
My feet
My feet
My feet
all I feel is nigh
And I reflect upon me
and I reject upon me
Upon me
Upon me
Man will be enslaved
Man will be enslaved
Man will be enslaved
We will be enslaved
The album description mentions an “emotional apex.” That’s really the difference between Stare and the band’s previous albums. Ulcerate was always supremely technically proficient. I just didn’t care all that much. Their growth has come from making music you will feel. Metallurgical Fire
Oppressive, heavy grindcore that throws in so many different additional elements, including a whole lot of complex time changes and riffs. "Our Hollow" definitely pays off after multiple listens as there is a hell of a lot going on. But as impressive as the music is, the pointed poetic lyrics are the huge takeaway for me. Make sure to give these lines the attention they deserve, which makes the album that much more rewarding. A very impressive statement. bcb723
